Apple Walnut Salad Ingredients: 2 green apples, cored and sliced very thinly 1-1/2 cups walnuts, chopped 3/4 cup Parmesan cheese shavings 1 to 2 bags of prewashed mix baby greens Balsamic vinaigrette This salad gives an elegant touch to any meal, but it couldn't be simpler to toss together! Simply pour greens into a large bowl and top with the apple slices, walnuts and Parmesan shavings. DOLE® Butter Bliss Salad or other DOLE salad variety ( or local lettuce) 1 DOLE Red Apple, Diced 1 DOLE Green Apple or Pear, thinly sliced 1/4 cup crumbled blue cheese (From Upstate Locally Grown) 1/2 cup chopped walnuts, toasted (Or local pecans) 1/4 cup olive or walnut oil 4 teaspoons balsamic or red wine vinegar 1 tablespoon finely chopped shallot (or spring onions from Spurgeon Farm) 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard Instructions Toss salad, apples, blue cheese and walnuts in bowl. Stir together oil, vinegar, shallot and mustard* until blended in bowl.
